Residents in Rankin Inlet advised to conserve energy for two weeks
Qulliq Energy Corporation (QEC) would like to advise residents of Rankin Inlet to conserve power for the next two weeks. Emergency repairs are being made to the generator engines and we are asking for the community’s assistance to ensure a reliable power supply during this period.
Effective energy conservation includes lowering thermostats to 20 degrees C and only using high-energy appliances (stoves, ovens, washers and dryers) after 7p.m.
QEC thanks residents for their understanding and apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.
