QEC’s Customer Care services are almost fully restored following an illegal cyberattack. There are now several ways to easily and safely pay for your electricity. Please have a copy of your outstanding (or most recent) bill accessible so that payments can be processed.

The corporation is currently unable to print and mail out bills for January 2023. In the meantime, customers will be billed an estimated amount in January based on their December usage. Any necessary adjustments will be applied to your customer accounts once systems are fully restored. Customer Care offices are also now available for assistance in person, by phone at 1-866-710-4200, or by emailing at CustomerCare@qec.nu.ca. Please note, QEC is still unable to access some IT systems and may not be able to address every customer inquiry at this time. Employees are still not reachable at their specific QEC email addresses.

Pre-Authorized Payments

Pre-authorized payments are not available at this time. Customers who utilize QEC’s pre-authorized payment option are asked to pay their bills by an alternative method until full services are restored.

In Person at QEC

You can pay your QEC power bill in person at one of our local offices located in Baker Lake, Cambridge Bay, Rankin Inlet, and Iqaluit. For QEC Customer Care office addresses, please click here.

Over the Phone

You can pay your QEC monthly power bill over the phone with a credit card by calling our Baker Lake office at 1-866-710-4200.

Online Banking

You can pay your monthly power bill online through your banking website. Simply select Qulliq Energy Corporation as a payee and proceed with the steps for paying a bill.

In Person at a Payment Agent

You can also make a payment on your monthly power bill in person at a payment agent. Bring a copy of your bill to the Northern Store, Coop, local bank, or the Eskimo Point Lumber Supply (Arviat only). Payments can be made by cash, debit card, credit card, or by cheque made out to most local payment agents.

By Mail

Customers paying by mail can issue a cheque made out to Qulliq Energy Corporation in the amount owing on your bill and mail to one of our regional offices. For QEC office mailing addresses, please click here.

Please do not send cash in the mail.
