Qulliq Energy Corporation is accepting applications for the corporation’s annual Laura Ulluriaq Gauthier Scholarship.
Nunavummiut students enrolled in a post-secondary education program for the September 2019 semester are eligible to apply. The successful candidate will be chosen based on a strong academic record and outstanding community involvement.
Applications for the $5000 scholarship will be accepted until June 30, 2019.
The Honourable Jeannie Ehaloak, Minister responsible for Qulliq Energy Corporation (QEC), has granted permission for QEC to proceed with the construction of a new head office in Baker Lake. The Corporation’s business activities are served out of the head office located in Baker Lake and the corporate office in Iqaluit.
Qulliq Energy Corporation (QEC) would like to inform customers that there is a minor error on electricity bills for the billing period of March 1 to 31, 2019.
The commercial or residential rates listed on the bill reflect the upcoming rate changes for April 1, 2019. The actual total energy charge at the bottom of the monthly bill was calculated using the correct rates.

Based out of Baker Lake, Nunavut and reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Manager, Supply Chain is responsible for coordinating with all entities and stakeholders involved in the procurement life cycle of a variety of commodities and services for Qulliq Energy Corporation (QEC).
Based out of Iqaluit, Nunavut and reporting to the Director of Engineering, this position will lead the mechanical aspects of the Engineering department including managing capital projects, operational support, mechanical system analysis and design work. This position is also responsible for overseeing project management, budgets, and the development and implementation of mechanical standards and engineering controls. The manager’s deliverables are focused on the construction and sustainment of mechanical systems in each of the territory’s 25 diesel power plants.
