Qulliq Energy Corporation offers paperless billing

Qulliq Energy Corporation (QEC) is now offering a paperless billing option that allows customers to receive their monthly electricity bills by email.

To sign-up, please email Customer Care at customercare@qec.nu.ca with your account number and email address. Beginning in November, your electricity bill will go directly to your inbox.

QEC thanks those customers who volunteered to test paperless billing during the trial period. They provided valuable feedback during the development of the program.

Planned Power Outage in Naujaat

Qulliq Energy Corporation (QEC) would like to inform the community of Naujaat that there is a power outage planned on Saturday, September 26, from 6 a.m. until 10 a.m. The affected area is highlighted in yellow on the map below.

This power outage is required to make changes to the distribution system and connect the community’s new subdivision.

QEC thanks residents for their understanding and apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.

Planned Power Outage in Kinngait

Qulliq Energy Corporation (QEC) would like to inform the community of Kinngait that power outages are planned for Saturday, September 26, and Sunday, September 27, from 6 a.m. until 10 a.m. The affected areas are highlighted in yellow on the maps below.

These power outages are required to upgrade the power distribution system and to connect the community’s new health center.

QEC environmental site assessment in Taloyoak

Qulliq Energy Corporation (QEC) would like to inform residents that site assessment work in Taloyoak has been rescheduled.

A contractor will be in the community from September 22 to 25 to complete an environmental site assessment at the old QEC owned staff house on Lot 113.

The contractor will be using heavy equipment to collect samples in the area marked in red on the map below. Residents are asked to avoid this area to ensure work can be done safely.

Qulliq Energy Corporation (QEC) would like to inform the residents of Taloyoak that a contractor will be in the community from September 15 to 18 to complete an environmental site assessment at the old QEC owned staff house on Lot 113.

The contractor will be using heavy equipment to collect samples in the area marked in red on the map below. Residents are asked to avoid this area to ensure work can be done safely.

Qulliq Energy Corporation (QEC) would like to inform the residents of Gjoa Haven that a contractor will be in the community from September 6 to 8, to complete an environmental site assessment at the Power Plant (Lots 191, 195 and 196). 

The contractor will be using heavy equipment to collect samples in the area marked in red on the map below. Residents are asked to avoid this area to ensure work can be done safely.

Qulliq Energy Corporation (QEC) would like to inform the residents of Cambridge Bay that a contractor will be in the community from September 2 until September 6, to complete an environmental site assessment at the Power Plant (Lot 8-1, Block 6; Lot 1 and 2, Block 6; Lot 8, Block 20), and the old QEC Staff House, #1 Amagok Street (Lot 18, Block 17).   

The contractor will be using heavy equipment to collect samples in the area marked in red on the map below. Residents are asked to avoid this area to ensure work can be done safely.
