QEC Customer Care office in Iqaluit closed until further notice

Qulliq Energy Corporation (QEC) would like to inform the residents of Iqaluit that the QEC Customer Care office will be closed until further notice. 

The Corporation is committed to the delivery of safe and reliable electricity to all Nunavummiut while helping to limit the spread of COVID-19 in the community. QEC will continue to meet the ongoing challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Public feedback on QEC’s major project applications

Qulliq Energy Corporation (QEC) is encouraging the public to provide feedback on the corporation’s proposed power plant replacement projects in Gjoa Haven, Cambridge Bay and Igloolik, and generator set replacement in Iqaluit.

The corporation has applied to the Minister responsible for QEC to approve these major projects. Nunavut’s Utility Rates Review Council, an independent advisory body, will review public feedback and provide advice on the application to the Minister responsible for QEC.

Qulliq Energy Corporation accepting applications for the Board of Directors

Qulliq Energy Corporation (QEC) is currently accepting applications for the QEC Board of Directors. The corporation is looking for dedicated members with the vision, passion, and leadership skills to make a positive contribution to QEC.

Special consideration will be given to applicants with financial designations or experience in the energy industry. Backgrounds in human resources, engineering, and legal will also be considered an asset. Successful candidates will be appointed for a three-year term.
