IQALUIT, Nunavut (October 21, 2016) – Qulliq Energy Corporation (QEC) has applied to the Minister responsible for QEC for a third Fuel Stabilization Rate (FSR) refund rider of 5.26 cents per kilowatt hour.

“This is the third consecutive fuel rider refund that QEC has requested since November 2015, and I look forward to consulting with the Utility Rates Review Council regarding QEC’s application,” said the Honourable Johnny Mike, Minister responsible for QEC.

Qulliq Energy Corporation (QEC) would like to inform its customers that QEC will be conducting a customer survey by telephone from October 17, 2016 to November 5, 2016. The survey should take between five to ten minutes to complete.

Customers are encouraged to provide their input to survey representatives since the feedback received will be used to help QEC improve its services for all customers.

IQALUIT, Nunavut (June 24, 2016) – Premier Peter Taptuna today announced changes to the Government of Nunavut senior management team, and appointed a president to serve Qulliq Energy Corporation (QEC).

“With the re-alignment of executive council, key changes to our government’s senior management will continue effective and well implemented leadership of Sivumut Abluqta,” said Premier Taptuna. “These appointments support the knowledge and abilities of our public service leaders, and I’m pleased to reposition those strengths within our departments.”

IQALUIT, Nunavut (June 24, 2016) – Honourable George Hickes, Minister responsible for Qulliq Energy Corporation (QEC) today announced the resignation of chairperson Julie- Anne Miller from QEC’s Board of Directors effective June 20, 2016.

IQALUIT, Nunavut (June 17, 2016) – Premier Peter Taptuna has announced changes to Nunavut’s executive council, to ensure strategic leadership to realize the goals of Sivumut Abluqta. Changes become effective June 24, 2016.

“After working with our new ministers and observing the distinct strengths of each member of cabinet, I have reassigned portfolios to renew energy and reinvigorate collaboration,” said Premier Taptuna.

IQALUIT, Nunavut (April 5, 2016) – Qulliq Energy Corporation (QEC) is requesting to apply for a second Fuel Stabilization Rider (FSR) refund of 3.07¢ per kilowatt hour. This refund is the result of continued decrease in QEC’s fuel costs.

“This is the second consecutive fuel rider refund that QEC has requested since November 2015, and I look forward to consulting with the Utility Rates Review Council regarding QEC’s request,” said the Honourable George Hickes, Minister responsible for QEC.
