Ikajuuti L-E-D Program

The Ikajuuti Program is named after the Inuktitut word meaning "to offer support during times of need". QEC provides free energy-efficient LED lightbulbs to Elders and Seniors aged 55 and over.

How: Energy Savings LED bulbs use up to 75% less energy than traditional bulbs, helping reduce monthly power bills.  Longer Lifespan LED bulbs last 25 times longer than incandescent bulbs, meaning fewer replacements needed! Better Light Quality Brighter, clearer light that's easier on the eyes and creates a comfortable home environment. 

How to Get Your LED Bulbs 

Step 1: Check Eligibility Are you 55 years or older? You qualify for the Ikajuuti Program! 

Step 2: Watch for Community Events QEC hosts LED distribution events across Nunavut communities. Check local announcements! 

Step 3: Attend the Event Come to the distribution event in your community and receive your free LED bulbs. 

Step 4: Enjoy the Savings! Install your LED bulbs and start saving energy and money right away.
