Qulliq Energy Corporation (QEC) would like to inform the residents of Iqaluit that there will be a planned partial-community power outage on Sunday, June 2 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This planned outage will affect customers in Iqaluit’s core area and lower 100s-300s, from Mivvik Street to the cemetery, including Palaugaa Drive, Umiaq Crescent, Nipisa and Sinaa Streets and part of Queen Elizabeth Way. North Mart, Nakasuk School, Elder’s Qammaq and Arctic Ventures will be affected. Please see the highlighted region of the map below.
This outage is required to safely complete system upgrades.
