If you enjoy finding concrete solutions to engine problems and other complex situations, and you thrive in an environment where you generally control your own pace of work, this career opportunity is for you.
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will perform journeyperson-level mechanical work in support of diesel generators and associated support equipment, including engines, pumps, compressors, radiators, heat exchangers, lube oil systems, fuel oil systems, cooling systems, vehicles and other mechanical equipment. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will work in cooperation with Journeymen Electricians and Electrical Technologists to troubleshoot issues and/or engine overhauls, and will travel extensively, in small aircraft, to remote satellite plants in regional communities to perform equipment inspections, scheduled/preventive maintenance, installations and repairs.
This is not a rotational position. It is a full-time placement in the community assigned.
